What is in Your Site Terms?

Well there is lot that goes on behind the scene sometimes that other owners and members should be aware of and I personally feel this is one of them as this has been a nightmare for me – what is in your site terms.

If you have not read them and gone thru them now is the time as it was my site terms that saved my hinder the other day. This is what happened – I had a member join and brought in many referrals and then used the sites rotator to put their pages in the BODY of some spam emails.

This was first brought to my attention a couple week ago in one of my skype rooms as one of the members had received one and then as we were talking another pipped up and said he had to.

So I wanted to warn members and other owners when you see emails like this – most of the time it is promoting a click bank product and then it will say if you like this product there are some more that the senders name suggest and that is when they add the rotator.

When you do get one of these emails you need to report them as spam but first you should get the info from the header of the email and this is how you get that info.

You have to open the email, then on the right side, you have to choose the little menu next to the reply arrow, then choose show original, then copy that and send it in an email to you. forwarding it does not show the header where it came from. That is how emails can be tracked down and how you should report all spam emails.

So bottom line here was because my site’s rotator was in the body of the email – my site got reported for spam to the company that has my domain. They threaten to shut the site down, fine me, etc. if I didn’t stop this – I had to go thru hours of proving it was not me.

The funny thing is that my hosting company didn’t get one report and it took me getting them on the phone with the people that has my domain plus sending them a copy of my terms, screen shots that the members was suspended and banned – then they were happy.

So members and site owners – please read the terms of your site, report spam emails the right way and ALWAYS let a owner know if you are seeing these things going on so they can put a stop to them.

Text Ads – Love Them or Hate Them

Well I have been wanting to do this post for so long and finally am getting a chance to get it wrote up as I think about it every time I am surfing. Text Ads – Love Them or Hate Them.

From what I see most everyone must hate them as they are the most unused source of advertising out there and to me one of the best. If you are not using text ad and hate them then maybe after I tell you why I love them – you will reconsider.

The first thing I have always heard from people the reason they don’t use them is that they don’t know what to put, they are not good at writing, they are more of a copy and paste person – well BINGO – let’s make it easy for you – pay attention the next time you are surfing and if you see something that catches your eye – copy and paste it to a notepad file like I do – people do this all the time they are call swipe files.

Google Swipe Files sometimes and you will find that some of the best advertisers and copywriters all have swipe files. You may run across a line that catches your eye copy and paste it for later use. I have got so I even listen to commercials on TV more and jot down things that I think I will be able to use.

Now once you have your swipe file – now it’s time to take advantage of the BEST (JMO) and most unused advertising out there and here are some of my reasons. Text links are hardly ever used – there is not much competition – you link will get seen. AND people do click on them as I have been tracking and I have to say my text links brings me just as many referrals as my other forms of advertising.

Now most site owners are not going to like me saying this but they are practically giving you your BEST advertising on a silver platter. In the TE’s do you see in most of the prizes that you win it’s FREE text impressions and not just a few either. AND have you paid attention that for one credit – you sites gets seen ONE time and competes with how many other sites for that view. Yea, think about it now.

The next time you login, pay attention and you will see what I am saying. One credit can get you anywhere from 5 – 40 views. So think about this you have people surfing and I have Why Zaney Clicks? as a text link – do YOU know how many times that is going to pop up for people to see – oh I know what you are thinking – people don’t look at them anyway.

You are wrong – test it for yourself. I am always testing that is why you see me changing and making new splash pages, new colors, new graphics, new banners, new text links. This is what you have to do and you will find that people do click text ads and that you will get referrals from them.

The other place that they are given out freely and under used is TAE (text ad sites) and I know what you are thinking already – I can’t afford to buy points to get my stuff to show. You don’t have to 99% of the time you can post text links/ads for free and what makes this so good is that they not only click your link for points – you are keeping what your are promoting in front of them.

Thomas Smith wrote a guide called Successful Advertising in 1885.^[6] The saying he used is still being used today.

The first time people look at any given ad, they don’t even see it.
The second time, they don’t notice it.
The third time, they are aware that it is there.
The fourth time, they have a fleeting sense that they’ve seen it somewhere before.
The fifth time, they actually read the ad.
The sixth time they thumb their nose at it.
The seventh time, they start to get a little irritated with it.
The eighth time, they start to think, “Here’s that confounded ad again.”
The ninth time, they start to wonder if they’re missing out on something.
The tenth time, they ask their friends and neighbors if they’ve tried it.
The eleventh time, they wonder how the company is paying for all these ads.
The twelfth time, they start to think that it must be a good product.
The thirteenth time, they start to feel the product has value.
The fourteenth time, they start to remember wanting a product exactly like this for a long time.
The fifteenth time, they start to yearn for it because they can’t afford to buy it.
The sixteenth time, they accept the fact that they will buy it sometime in the future.
The seventeenth time, they make a note to buy the product.
The eighteenth time, they curse their poverty for not allowing them to buy this terrific product.
The nineteenth time, they count their money very carefully.
The twentieth time prospects see the ad, they buy what is offering.

DID YOU SEE THIS – 20 times – so you tell me where are your going to get your site, product, whatever you are promoting seen. Now I’m tell you to try this because what will happen is that it takes them what 5 times before they read it – well that 5th time they read it well I want them down to that seventh, eight, ninth time seeing it when my ad shows up in rotation – WHY they are more likely going to click on it because you already have them interested and they are thinking I might be missing something.

Ok I could go on and on here but I think you get the idea – so lets get out there and test some text ads – let me know if you love them or hate them

Login Spotlight – love them or hate them

It’s been interesting when you just listen to people through out TE land and one of the things that I have heard talked about is the Login Spotlight – love them or hate them.

Until recently, I have not really paid alot of attention to them as this is not a mod that I have on my site yet and wanted to weigh the pros and cons first. So I have been listening and testing some things.

The first thing that I have heard is all the emails that you get talking about claiming your login spotlight reward. Some say that it’s annoying especially if you are already getting many emails and some say that they just delete them and I have to admit that I did for awhile also until I started really looking into this feature.

One of the first things that I have discovered is that these pages can be bought at a very, very reasonable price – I was actually amazed at some of the deals that site owners have on these pages. – looking for a bargain – this would be one.

Another thing is that members get credits to looking at your page – and that can vary depending on the site – so are you leaving free credits on the table by not waiting for that timer to run out.

AND are you leaving more credits on the table by not taking the time to rate the page that you viewed. After running a few of these login spotlights, I am finding the feedback that you get very helpful – hints on improvements, new ideas and suggestions. To me this is a very inexpensive way to get your page critiqued. And do you know that you get bonus credits for giving your opinion about the page – so I personally feel this is a win-win for both parties – the viewer and the one submitting the page.

So the next time that you get one of those spotlight emails and before you delete it – think about this – if that was YOUR ad would you want someone to take a few minutes to look at your page and give you their honest opinion on that page or site – OR would you want them to just delete the email.

Also before you think it is a PITA to login and look at the page – think about this – for taking a few minutes of YOUR time you are rewarded with credits so that your site can be seen more and gives you a chance to check to make sure that you have credits assigned at least and you might be surprised you may needed those credits you just earned.

So kudos to all that take advantage of this awesome feature and if you haven’t tried them yet – take the time to check them out – I really think you will come to the same conclusion that I did – it’s a good business decision to use Login Spotlight pages.

Best Gift That You Can Give Anytime

You know I listen to everyone this time of the year and how hectic things seem to get as you are chasing around looking for the “perfect gift” which brings me to this post of the best gift that you can give anytime, any season, any reason, and any occasion.

If you think back through the years – do you remember all the materials things (toys, presents, and gifts) that you got – I know I don’t. What I remember is the time that my Mom did things with me, the time that Grandma showed me something and that Grandpa took me to the park and pushed me on the swings.

The reason that I’m even talking about this is I listen to stories all over the internet and even from friends that I know can’t afford to buy gifts this year and thought that I’d make a few suggestions for people online and offline and all that it cost you is a little bit or your “TIME” Yep that is the best gift that you can give anytime and as you get older a person realizes it even more.

I’m just going to give you a few suggestions here to get your mind flowing with ideas to be creative with.

For the kids……
A home made certificate for an hour of your time – they pick the activity (and as crazy as it is – just do it)
A certificate of the meal of their choice (yes their choice)
A day to make a family scrapbook together – sorting thru photos etc.
A scavenger hunt where the winner picks tonight dessert
A night to set and listen to their music and watch them do a dance to one of their favorite songs ( my granddaughter loves this one)
An afternoon to play their favorite game – yea even if it’s one of those crazy computer games

For siblings/friends with kids
A home made certificate to watch the kids so they can have a nite out.
Another certificate to make their favorite meal
A scavenger hunt with both families – winner picks the prize
How about making them a cd of their favorite songs

For your parents
Certificates for chores around the house – cleaning, cooking, mowing the year, raking the leaves, the list here is endless.
How about an hour of your TIME just for a visit – really set down and talk to them.
A favorite movie nite they pick the movie yea and Miracle on 34th Street or another black and white movie might not be your cup of tea but to them it’s part of who they are.
One that my 2nd mom always enjoyed us to do was to go to midnight mass with her and don’t make excuses not to – just go

Your online friends
How about sharing a video with them or even just a comment on their FB or even a smiley in their chat can often make a person’s day.
Sometimes because you can’t see a person you really don’t know what kind of day they are having.
How about a video from you just for them – don’t be shy – get on there and sing Happy Birthday to them – get on there and tell them some funny jokes etc. – you got the idea.
If you do graphics, make they a banner, splash page, etc that would help them promote what they are doing
Offer to take some online classes with them – you both gain that way
Create a virtual vacation for them – DREAM – if you had all the money in the world where would you take your online friend and where would you like to meet them for real – you can make it real

How to get suspended on Zaney Clicks

Well most of you know me that I’m the most patient person and try and get along with everyone – will bend over backward for others but tonight had one of those situations that has been happening and thought I’d rant for a few on how to get suspended on Zaney Clicks.

First let me say that when you sign up and join a membership site, you are signing up to the owners list. What does that mean? Well it means that you WILL be getting emails from the site letting you know what is going on.

It’s amazing the amount of bounced emails for a variety of reasons and some I can overlook. I will even correct some as I can see that you simply typed it in wrong but when I get reasons that the email does not exist – come on.

This is just disrespectful of the site owner as far as I’m concerned – if you didn’t want to hear from me or about the site – then why did you even join? If you don’t like receiving emails from sites and want to sign up with bogus emails – what really are you accomplishing? Getting suspended so that your sites can’t be seen – what a waste of my time and yours.

Also, when you signed up to Zaney Clicks, you signed up – I didn’t sign up to your list and I really don’t appreciate you filling up my email box with an automatic reply to my emails – that also will get you suspended.

People, people, people this is a traffic exchange, you signed up to get traffic to your site. Be adults here and do like the rest of us do. Surf for credits, add your sites, assign your credits and wait to get traffic. This really is not that hard everyone.

So if you come into the site and can’t login – well now you will know why. If you feel that I am being unfair, and you think I don’t have a good reason for suspending you – well send me a support ticket, I will listen and make a decision from there.

Welcome to Zaney News and Blog

My name is Nancy Radlinger, owner of Zaney Clicks and I would like to welcome you to my new blog. As most of you know, I have been busy downsizing my house as I have it up for sale and have been doing garage sales all summer. That was like a full time job BUT that is finally over and I can concentrate more on my online business.

Setting up this blog has been on my list of things to do for so long and not making excuses but being a one-person owner – sometimes my list of to do things get quite long – but I’m also stubborn enough to take one project, get it done and move on – so you WILL be seeing alot of new things in store for Zaney Clicks.

For the ones that do know me know that I work online and take my business very serious and I am a very active owner. For all the followers of my other blog know that I love to blog also and that I sometimes have some posts that you will like, will learn from and some that you will not like.

Things that you will find on this blog will be news about upcoming events about Zaney Clicks – such as events, promos, bonuses, and upcoming changes. Other things that you will also hear about will be my opinions and experiences that I have had since I have been online.

The purpose of this blog will be to help others from making some of the mistakes that I have over the years and hopefully help you learn some new tips, idea, and suggestions to help you start earning the money you are hoping to.
