Are Traffic Exchanges Dead?

There has sure been alot of rumors around TEland and the buzzing in the Skype Group Rooms and have everyone asking are traffic exchanges dead – well here is my opinion.

No I don’t feel that traffic exchanges are dead but I do believe that the structure of TEs will need to be changed.  So in the next months you WILL be seeing changes in TEland.

The first change that you are seeing TE’s are changing the payment processors from Paypal to Payza.  There are many reasons why but the bottom line is that Paypal right now does not want to have anything to do with traffic exchanges.

The other change that you also will be seeing is that subscriptions are being canceled that you had set up and that is another thing that Paypal is limiting accounts – both site owners and members if they pay a subscription to a traffic exchange – so the plan B right now is Payza.

Another change that you are seeing is that sites are slow in adding Payza as a payment processor and this is NOT the site owners fault as with Paypal kicking TE’s out right now – Payza got overloaded with requests.  Sites have to fill out an application about their site and then Payza goes over the application and approves your site.  It use to take 2 days to get approved and now it’s taking up to 2 weeks is what some owners have been seeing.

So wanted to get this out to everyone just to let you know that traffic exchanges as your know it will have to change.  I know lot of you do NOT like change but to keep this industry moving forward – it is necessary.

In the future, you will be getting updates on this blog as changes are made and I will have to tell you the first change that was made on Zaney was the surf button was changed to view ads.  What I found funny about this simple change was the support tickets that I got wanting to know how can I surf the sites the surf button is gone.

This is just one example of the type of changes that you are going to be seen – my answer back to these support tickets was giving them the definition of a traffic exchange and that is I view your ad in exchange for you viewing mine.

Stay tuned as I will be letting you know of changes as they happen – remember change is NOT a bad thing – even tho we don’t like it – sometimes change is for the better.

Are You Guilty?

cat14As I was working online today a few thoughts popped in my head and thought I would go over a few and see Are You Guilty too.

We have gotten into this fast pace world so much online that we don’t seem to have patience anymore – we want it now, we want faster timers, we want, we want, are you guilty.  Well it’s not easy to admit but I found myself falling into this trap and forget that life happens, things break, and there are humans behind these screens – not machines

As you all know, I’m a big surfer as I like to get the sites all over and do you log into a site and think to yourself wow that is a great offer – buy, buy, buy and the next thing you realize that you broke your budgeted amount you had put aside for the month – are you guilty.  Again, I am – I have come to the conclusion that I’m shopaholic – not that I go out to stores and spend, spend, spend but I sure like clicking that buy button especially if it’s a great deal.  Will I stop – no – but I do have to watch closer on what I spend.

Have you spent hours surfing a site and are so excited about moving on to the next one because you have a set amount of time put aside in your schedule for surfing – then realize that you forgot to assign your credits, banner and text impressions – are you guilty – again I am and I think instead of going back right away and doing it I tell myself that I will do it the next time around – hmmmmm do you know how long my stuff is not getting seen because I didn’t take the time to follow thru before I left the site – are you guilty

judgingcatWell this one gets me all the time and I miss out on so much free advertising – when I do remember to assign everything – I still am rushing on to the next site that I forget about the bonus in the surfers rewards – are you guilty.  If you are like me, but the time you remember oh crap I didn’t collect the surfers rewards – it’s too late as the site has already reset for the day.

One more before I call it a nite – are you so waiting for the next set of icons to come up that you just glance at the site and then click.  Then are pissed at yourself when you get to the next page and it ask what was the site you just seen and you go oh crap – I just looked at that page and pick what you think you saw to come find out you are wrong – are you guilty?   You would not believe how many times I yell at myself – yea I said yell – you can ask my cat as he takes off to the other room – poor cat.

Well would love to hear how many of you will admit and comment on this one as all this is NOT easy for admit because in our mind we are superwoman and superman and can’t admit to costly mistakes like this – are you guilty?  Well I was until tonight and thought – you know if I do these silly things – bet there are others.

Don’t know about you but I have hard time shutting the brain down when I go to bed and thought of one more that is important.  When you signup at a new site and you are so excited about getting in there to click the required pages that you just check that box that says I have read the terms – are you guilty.  Yep me too and will even take it one step further – how about jumping to add your sites and start surfing that you don’t even look the site over – the members page, the FAQ’s page or even click any of the other buttons to find out about what the site is all about – are you guilty.  Yea this is hard one to admit but I have kicked myself in the hinder so many times later when I realize that I am missing out on some awesome features that the site is offering.

Prizes in Traffic Exchanges

Well this is going to be a little rant as I think lot of people have lost the “why” you join traffic exchanges.  Traffic exchanges are simple – you look at my site and I will look at your site – they are an advertising platform.  The prizes in traffic exchanges are being offered as an incentive and thank you for visiting a site and looking at the ads that are being shown.

prizes2Some traffic exchanges offer daily and weekly prizes in their sites again as in incentive and thank you for coming to their business to view other members ads.  NOW the rant sometime things happen – prize pages conflict, codes are typed wrong, the server didn’t reset and the list goes on and on and I know all of you know what I’m talking about.

Well when this happens for one it means that the people behind the scene are human and we make mistakes – it does not mean that we are trying to cheat you out of your “prize”.  What gets me the most when people think this – to me as an owner this is like a slap in the face.  These are not just prizes that come with our business, they are prizes that site owners have to BUY that we give to you as prizes.questions3

If you are surfing a traffic exchange just for the prize incentives then maybe you should reevaluate your “why” did I join this site.  If you spent more time sharing the site you are in instead of focusing so much on the prize incentives that they offer you would be making lot more money.

Example you join a health club and you are loving the results you are getting and that club offers prize incentives for referring a friend.  As a prize incentive they may offer you 15 minutes in hot tub, discount on massage, etc.  Now where are YOU going to benefit the most – yes buy telling your friends and explaining the benefits.  The same works in traffic exchanges.  While the 15 minutes in the hot tub may feel awesome after a long day – wouldn’t it be nice to have a friend to share that with.

So for all that is reading this I ask you to go back and think about your “why” did you join the site or sites that you are member of.  AND the next time that the prize incentive was not there right away – remember “why” those prize incentives are there also.

Learn to be patient in this instant world that we live in as there are still humans behind the scene and have feelings still.  Everyone leaving me a comment, I will give you 1000 Zubees as a thank you for taking the time to read and comment.

Hide and Seek TE Style

Well I’m sure as a kid everyone remembers how you use to play hide and seek well I thought it would be fun to bring that to TEland and so on Wednesdays at Zaney Clicks we enjoy playing Hide and Seek TE Style.

For all that have never played – what happens is that I have a page that I have made and this is what it looks like this hideandseek2and all you have to do is surf and find the page take the word highlighted in yellow and add it as a promo code for an extra bonus.

Everyone that adds this new word will be in drawing for $1.00 – it’s just that simple BUT here is the best part you learned a new word that has been put in the dictionary – how cool is that.  I have so enjoyed this promo even for myself as I learn new words and somewhat keep up with the new lingo that is going on these days.

AND as you can see I also add the definition for your each week so that you can go out and impress your friends maybe even by just tell them how fantasmarific they are.

So when you are bored just clicking – come on over to Zaney Clicks every Wednesday for our version of Hide and Seek TE Style

Saturday Nite at the Movies

saturdayAfter the last post, I decided to start a series about one of my sites as I know you have seen all over Why Zaney Clicks.  One of the features that I have add as a weekly event on the site is Saturday Nite at the Movies.

The reason that these daily event started was that a few years back I realized that doing so many promos with other sites that I just couldn’t keep up with them anymore – another lesson learned – the word NO

That one is a hard one when you have your own business and you like helping others so when another owner approaches you and wants to do a promo you add them on and what happened is that there were so many that Zaney was doing 4 and 5 a day – not healthy for the site and NOT healthy for the owner lolololol

So couple years ago, I thought enough was enough that I just couldn’t keep up with them all anymore and if I couldn’t how could I expect members to – so I canceled them and decided then to start a series of events for the members instead.

saturday3AND Saturday Nite at the movies came about as I love watching movies and people love trivia so putting the two together was a win win and it actually has worked out really great.

This is how it works each week I pick a movie and in the daily mail I add a new clue each day – there are 6 clues so that by Saturday the members can guess the movie by adding the title in  as a promo and earn a bonus.

Now here is the rest of the story on this event, I also remember years ago when I first started online that I was scared to death to get out of my comfort zone on this computer and even Google Search scared the crap out of me until I started using it.

googlesearch2Well this was my Zaney way of getting people to learn to use Google Search and is it working – yes as I hear from members that they are using Google Search more than they ever had and are loving this event.

So now you know the rest of the story on Saturday Nite at the Movies – in future posts I will let you know the rest of the story on the other events at Zaney Clicks.  If you are a new member or have wanted to test out a new traffic exchange – come try out our weekly events and find out that surfing can be fun, entertaining and rewarding.

What is a traffic exchange

cat5
You know it’s interesting as I listen to people these days and the answers to what is a traffic exchange – so thought this would make a nice blog post and let people share
their definition – don’t be shy now

Wikipedia says this……

A traffic exchange website receives website submissions from webmasters that join traffic exchange networks. The person who submitted the website then has to browse other member sites on the exchange program to earn credits, which enable their sites to be viewed by other members through the surf system. This increases the number of visitors to all the sites involved.

Exchanges enforce a certain credit ratio, which illustrates the amount of websites the surfer must view in order to receive one hit through the program for their promoted website. Many sites offer the ability to upgrade one’s membership level for a more equal credit ratio.

As the viewers are all website owners or affiliates, it is possible that some might find certain member sites interesting and thus make note of them on their own sites, sending more traffic their way. Most traffic programs also impose a time limit when members are browsing, ranging from 10 seconds to 60 seconds. Some incorporate the use of captcha to ensure user interaction.

Almost all traffic exchange programs are free, although many of them offer special features to paid members and offer credits for purchase. Almost all traffic exchange programs encourage users to build their own referral networks, which in turn increases the referrers’ amount of credits.

The traffic generated in a traffic exchange can be leveraged by using a downline builder to assist the user in building a referral network in the many different traffic exchanges.

In practice, traffic exchange programs are generally used by small business owners or marketers who either want free advertising or use the exchange programs for low-budget advertisement campaigns.

Now I’m going to ask you to go back and read thru all that ONE more time and this time
look as see if you see anything about a place to EARN money, win prizes, play games
etc.   Then I want to you to keep reading the rest of this post as I think that you will see
how much things have changed over the years and in my opinion not sure if it’s good
or bad – thought would put this out there and see what others thought.

Here is what Widipedia says about Paid to Click…..

Paid To Click is an online business model that draws online traffic from people aiming to earn money from home. Paid-To-Click, or simply PTC websites, act as middlemen between advertisers and consumers; the advertiser pays for displaying ads on the PTC website, and a part of this payment goes to the viewer when he views the advertisement.

So lets hear your thought on what is a traffic exchange in your opinion and yes everyone has one – here is the time to share yours

You Didn’t Get Your Mail

Just wanted to write a short blog post – stop laughing – I can write a short one.  Anyway just wanted to let you know about the changes that have and going to be taken place on all the Magical Jewels Internet Marketing Group and this includes …….

Over the last week, we have been testing email delivery or should I say the lack of.  We thank all of you for your support tickets, skype messages letting us know that you didn’t get your mail and believe me it was just as frustrating for us as it was for you.

We would chase around in the back office trying to figure out what happened to it, why didn’t it get delivered, did it go to spam and they miss it, is it floating out in cyber space somewhere or was it fighting with the cron jobs and the list of reasons go on and on.

frustrated2Well guess what, you are NOT going to have to say that You Didn’t Get Your Mail anymore because all you have to do is sign into any of the above sites and click the button that says Daily Mail – how cool is that

No more skimming thru 100’s of emails looking for today’s codes, no more waiting for delivery to be disappointed that it didn’t show and no more getting multiple emails in the same nite because someone like me put in the wrong code – you just have to login to the site and click Daily Mail.

With that being said, I would like to thank all the members of the above sites that suggested that we do this as this week has just been running lot better on all the sites yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh to all of you – you have another winner – WTG – keep those suggestions flowing – we love you for it.

TE Marathon – your questions

Well for all of you that have asked me about TE Marathon and what is it, how does it work and why should I collect so thought it would be easier to answer all of you in this blog post.

TE Marathon is a traffic exchange with a little twist – oh I know what is running thru your mind “another TE”.  At TE Marathon – you not only can surf to get your sites seen BUT you can also surf other sites and still get your site seen.

How?  What? When you surf the group of traffic exchanges (TE’s) you watch for the medals in the surf bar and the more you collect the more advertising you are earning.

The prizes you win by finding each medal:

Surf 51 pages
100 Text Ad Impressions (Free member)
400 Text Ad Impressions (Pro member)
Surf 101 pages

Now the reasons are way too numerous to list them all there – so why don’t you join me and see for yourself – you will not regret the ease of this new TE with a twist.

Win A Prime Advertising Spot

Well if you have been surfing at Zaney Clicks – you have been seeing a new banner in the surf bar and I wanted everyone to get use to seeing it on EVERY page. To me this is a prime advertising spot and I have thought about it on how someone can earn this spot.

2015-07-04 12-18-46 (2)

After going thru all the things that I reward members for, I have decided to give that spot to someone EACH week from the list of buyers for the week.

So for a chance at this spot, you just need to purchase something for the week. The week will go from Sunday to Sunday like the rest of the weekly rewards. And the other answers to your questions is that yes the login spotlight pages do count as a purchase. The other question that I’m sure that I’m going to get is does that mean commission buys also – the answer is YES.

With the weekly winners, I will be adding this in the template and the winner will have to send me their 125×125 as that is what I’m using to resize it for this spot along with the referral URL to the site.  It’s just that simple and easy – good luck to the upcoming winners

If you have any more questions that I have not covered here – then leave them in the comment box, or send in support ticket, or Skype me @ nancyradlinger.

Work Smarter, Not Harder (part 2)

161777811584436570_IxPBd3u7_bWell I’m going to take a few minutes to put an answer to a question that I have gotten over and over the last week on the previous post Work Smarter, Not Harder and I love the feedback that I get from these post – so feel free to leave comments here or Skype me @ nancyradlinger

People have mentioned to me that they has been trying this theory and so I asked each one to tell me what they had been doing with the site they were promoting.  Each said they had put in the site url, added a banner and text link in other TE’s and assigned credits to that one url, banner and text – that the sites would only allow the url to be added once.

cat14After hearing this, I realized that I didn’t mention that the way to utilize ALL of your sources that is available to you did not fully explain what I was thinking and that you all are not mind readers – sorry my fault for not explaining further.

Here is what I do when a site will not allow the same url to be repeated – I will go to the site and grab the urls of the splash pages as they are all different urls – and if you go to the site that you are promoting you will hopefully see that the site has offered you a variety of pages to promote.  Oh I know you are thinking why would I want to do this.

There are a few reasons why this important to do – when you are picking out a splash page to promote you are picking the one that you like and I learned from years ago that just because I like it – others may not have the same taste as I do.

See I owned a gift shop for years and when I would go to buying shows I would take a couple girlfriends along to go with me and then I would order a variety of things from what I liked and what they liked.  This is a big mistake I made for years with the gift shop till I learned that just because I would never like this particular thing – it doesn’t mean someone else might.

Well the same works in promoting your ONE site – when you are picking the splash pages that you like based on the graphic, colors, etc. – you are limiting your audience.  So that is why it’s important to pick a splash that you don’t like, colors that you think are just ucky as there are some out there – it could be their favorite and they click.

cutekittenNow I know you are thinking, Nancy you have really gone Zaney – there is no way that someone is going to click on an add just because they like the colors, the graphics etc. well I did a test oh about a year ago and tested it – same ad and just changed the background in it – now here is the interesting part – I got the same results from each page.

So with so many talking to me this week with similar stories thought I would do a follow up post on Work Smarter, Not Harder as there might be more of you out there with the same issues.  Grab those splash page url and add them to your tracker and bet you will be surprised what your results will be.
