It’s been interesting all the talk around TEland on the some of the changes and updates that some sites are making and when I listen to the good and bad of all the comments well you know me I have to add my 2 cents.
Changes and updates are not the easiest thing for me either especially when you get my age – I’m a little set in my ways but there is one saying that always sticks in my head and wanted to share. A friend of mine told me this years ago so I really don’t know who said it – but It’s not what happens that really matters but how you handle it will make all the difference.
In this world of computer and technology, you have to learn to go with the flow – changes and updates happen all the time and when they do you are not going to understand them all the time but there is usually a reason behind them. It’s not easy working online as there are so many out there that are just waiting to take advantage of the hard working honest people.
In TEland there have been some changes and updates and it’s been geared toward security of people sites. There are behind the scene changes and updates made on sites that you are on everyday and most of the time you don’t even know they are happening. The one that most don’t even pay attention to is site terms – when is the last time that you have read your favorite site’s terms?
Yea I’m just as guilty as most of you – we all are so busy trying to just keep up, to get our referrals, earn commissions that we forget about these behind the scene things. Most site owners try and inform their members via their emails but the % of member read them is so low that most don’t have a clue when changes and updates happen.
So I thought I would let all of you know here that Zaney Clicks also did some changes and updates – some you will like – some you want but they were done for the health of the site. Zaney Clicks is not here just to flaunt high surfing numbers, high member numbers, etc.: it’s here to help you promote your site, get traffic to your site, give you a place that you know the owner is active and working hard to help you learn and earn.
Also, I believe in keeping the line of communication open at Zaney Clicks and that is why I encourage members to talk to me. You will see that it’s very easy to get in touch with me – there is a contact me tab on the site, there is a Zaney Clicks Skype support room and can be easily joined from your members page, there is an ask Admin on the members page, there is a daily email that I send out, Zaney Clicks has a group on Facebook, you can always contact me on Skype @ nancyradlinger Don’t be afraid to contact me I answer all my support tickets and I love hearing from all of you.
So hope that as changes and updates are made on some of your favorite sites keep in mind my quote “It’s not what happens that really matters but how you handle it will make all the difference”.
You are so right bout reading the terms on sites also about changes .I like the icon changes so many of the site are making.
Thanks Barb
Thanks Barb glad you are liking the new icons and I know in this fast pace times we all forget sometimes
I personally dislike trying to match words with pictures, however, having said that, if the Te owner considers it is in the best interest of the members then fair enough.
There has been a fair bit posted recently about TE security and I think Tim Linden’s post sums it up pretty well.
Listen to the honest members and be alert to what is happening on your own TE.
Les
Thanks Les and I didn’t like them alot at first because they were different but I try to see the good out of everything and with seeing my MOM suffer from Alzheimer – I feel this not on helps the site but helps me also – exercising my brain more 🙂
Awesome, you get points for being transparent. Thanks!

Thanks Xarah – I try to be 🙂
I would like to say “kudos” to Josh Abbott for at least trying to help honest, hard working TE owners that want to make sure their members are getting the best results for their advertising. Yes, the “bot” programmers have already figured a way around the new icons, but the efforts to try to defeat them continues…and those programmers have been put on notice that TE owners are aware and vigilant.
I may ruffle some feathers with my next comment, but I have always tried to be honest and transparent with my comments…I have received a real education in the past couple of days on which TE owners are concerned about the quality of their members instead of the quantity of their membership.
Thanks Lori – like you it was very educating to see all the comments and very eye-opening to me also. The bottom line in all this is does the TE produce results and each site owners runs their TE the way they feel it best for their members. Personally, I see how hard some of my members work daily for their credits and I really want to make sure that there is real eyeballs looking at their site. The other thing that I really like was deleting the suspended members that have not signed in – yes, you do take a loss in members but in the long run it’s for the best – why have thousands of suspended members just so your total membership looks good.
A discussion of changing the surf icons at traffic exchanges hardly sounds exciting. A larger question is whether traffic exchanges are as effective as a form of advertising. Many experts feel that TEs are no longer that useful, and social media sites have overtaken them as the most effective way to promote an Internet business. But in the meantime, more new TEs are appearing every week.
Well that is a great comment and yes sometimes TE’s get a bad rap – but so do other sites and I have also heard that they don’t work – funny you say that as I was just telling another site owner today that sometimes I wish I could go back to being an affiliate. With all the marketing avenues out there now (TE’s included) if a person is not getting referrals or earning money then they don’t have a game plan in place. For anyone that missed that post – here is the link One is a Lonely Number
you did a great job with your new icons, easy to read and click. Thanks for taking the time to explain the icons for Delivering Traffic.
Thanks Evelyn and glad that it helped you
Nancy your blog is “deep” especially because it is centered around: “It’s not what happens that really matters but how you handle it will make all the difference.” I have to admit, at one time I hardly ever read what TE owners had to say but over the last few months that has changed drastically. I realize how much one can miss by not reading and/or communicating. I am really happy in many ways that the TE owners are doing whatever possible to try to minimize the amount of “bot” surfing that is taking. It really bothers me when I hear about that kind of DISHONESTY and INCONSIDERATION. Thanks You Nancy.
Thanks June and am glad that you are reading and listening to some of the site owners as there is a lot that goes on behind the scene that most people don’t realize. Guess I’m from the old school where you took a person word that they would do what they said they were going to do and like you find it hard to believe that there are people out there – and how they sleep at nite amazes me.
nice web
Thanks for stopping by and the comment
