Over the years, I have put myself out there as a friend, coach, mentor, business owner and what does that mean – well it means that I have opened the door for many people to be able to come to me for advice and try to be that person that I had wished I had found when I first started – thus today’s post how to stop being in the 97% who don’t make it.

It’s funny how the saying comes to mind as I’m writing that you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink – well I keep hoping that if you keep leading them to that water often enough – they will finally drink.  Do I know all the answers, NO  or will everyone agree with me, NO but what you will get is my honest opinion based on things that I encountered in my years online and lessons I learned the hard way.

Often times I get asked if I was starting out now what would I do to get started.  Added to that is how can I ever earn money if I don’t have my own site like you do.  Well I’m going to try and answer both of those comments for you.

Things keep changing on the net and with so much out there to choose from and new things popping up each day that people can just go pogo jumping around and never accomplish anything but wasting their time.

If I was just starting online now and I didn’t have lot of money in my budget to get me started there are a couple sites that I would join to get me started – and I know you are going to say I don’t have any money to invest in anything.  Well I’m going to be right up front with you and say that if you don’t have some money put aside to invest in your business (which working online is) then you are going to stay in the 97% who don’t make it.

Ouch huh?  I know I must have shocked a lot of you by saying that BUT I can give you some options at least what I would do if I was just starting out.  There are sites out there with minimal investment and I’m going to recommend them here.

Now before I do, I have to say this – if you are not going to treat these sites like YOUR business and promote, track, tweak, promote, track, tweak what you are doing until you are getting referrals then don’t waste your time or money.

You NEED to stay focused on these two sites – you NEED to promote ONLY these two sites in everything that you are doing – TEs, safelists, mailers, social net working and you NEED to track your results so that you can see what is working and what is not.
