This popped into my head today as I was going through my emails and thought it would make a great blog post \u2013 What Happened to Creativity?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First, for all of you that don\u2019t remember what the word means,\u00a0 \u201ccreativity\u201d is the use of the imagination or original idea \u2013 now did you see the word <\/span><\/span>Original.?<\/b><\/span><\/span> THAT means created directly and personally by a particular artist; not a copy or imitation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now I don\u2019t know about you but I DO NOT even open emails with these headlines:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Claim Your Login Spotlight Reward<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span>Cross Promo with XYZ Site<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span>Our Surf Timers Have Been Lowered<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span>2 Day Credit Special<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Usually, these are default headliners and I feel owners are just being lazy and keep sending out.\u00a0 Now think about it \u2013 You have to pay money for that spot in the Spotlight Logins. Do you really think that sending out all these emails with the same old headline are going to get members excited about logging in and taking a look at your ad?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now I don\u2019t know about you but I believe, if you are going to run a business, you would want to stick out\u2026 be different\u2026 AND give members a REAL reason to login to your site\u2026 hence this blog post!!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I think I\u2019m on a roll here\u2026 there other headlines that don\u2019t get opened are the ones that sound too good to be true or are full of spam words.\u00a0 You can Google to find out about this OR this blog post that I found very interesting\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Oh and while you have your creativity on a roll \u2013 the same can be applied to TEXT ads \u2013 give the people a REASON to click that ad, click your email.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
