{"id":159,"date":"2013-01-28T21:03:38","date_gmt":"2013-01-28T21:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zaneyclicks.com\/Blog\/?p=159"},"modified":"2013-01-28T21:59:18","modified_gmt":"2013-01-28T21:59:18","slug":"login-spotlight-love-them-or-hate-them","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zaneyclicks.com\/Blog\/2013\/01\/login-spotlight-love-them-or-hate-them\/","title":{"rendered":"Login Spotlight &#8211; love them or hate them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zaneyclicks.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/spotlight.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-161\" alt=\"spotlight\" src=\"http:\/\/zaneyclicks.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/spotlight-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>It&#8217;s been interesting when you just listen to people through out TE land and one of the things that I have heard talked about is the Login Spotlight &#8211; love them or hate them.<\/p>\n<p>Until recently, I have not really paid alot of attention to them as this is not a mod that I have on my site yet and wanted to weigh the pros and cons first.\u00a0 So I have been listening and testing some things.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing that I have heard is all the emails that you get talking about claiming your login spotlight reward.\u00a0 Some say that it&#8217;s annoying especially if you are already getting many emails and some say that they just delete them and I have to admit that I did for awhile also until I started really looking into this feature.<\/p>\n<p>One of the first things that I have discovered is that these pages can be bought at a very, very reasonable price &#8211; I was actually amazed at some of the deals that site owners have on these pages. &#8211; looking for a bargain &#8211; this would be one.<\/p>\n<p>Another thing is that members get credits to looking at your page &#8211; and that can vary depending on the site &#8211; so are you leaving free credits on the table by not waiting for that timer to run out.<\/p>\n<p>AND are you leaving more credits on the table by not taking the time to rate the page that you viewed.\u00a0 After running a few of these login spotlights, I am finding the feedback that you get very helpful &#8211;\u00a0 hints on improvements, new ideas and suggestions.\u00a0 To me this is a very inexpensive way to get your page critiqued.\u00a0 And do you know that you get bonus credits for giving your opinion about the page &#8211; so I personally feel this is a win-win for both parties &#8211; the viewer and the one submitting the page.<\/p>\n<p>So the next time that you get one of those spotlight emails and before you delete it &#8211; think about this &#8211; if that was YOUR ad would you want someone to take a few minutes to look at your page and give you their honest opinion on that page or site &#8211; OR would you want them to just delete the email.<\/p>\n<p>Also before you think it is a PITA to login and look at the page &#8211; think about this &#8211; for taking a few minutes of YOUR time you are rewarded with credits so that your site can be seen more and gives you a chance to check to make sure that you have credits assigned at least and you might be surprised you may needed those credits you just earned.<\/p>\n<p>So kudos to all that take advantage of this awesome feature and if you haven&#8217;t tried them yet &#8211; take the time to check them out &#8211; I really think you will come to the same conclusion that I did &#8211; it&#8217;s a good business decision to use Login Spotlight pages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been interesting when you just listen to people through out TE land and one of the things that I have heard talked about is the Login Spotlight &#8211; love them or hate them.
